Mou's Story

Moushumi Ghose is a writer, sex therapist and activist for cultivating self acceptance around sexuality, relationships and gender identity for more than 3 decades. She got licensed in 2007, initially dedicating her practice towards supporting the LGBTQ, Kink, Non-Monogamous communities in finding their voice so they can live more authentically but soon realized this translated to broader groups who also struggled with sexuality, gender and relationships.

As a queer south Asian-Indian person born to immigrants, Mou struggled with fitting in with the normative culture. It took Mou a while to recognize the true path to her own healing was through her own creativity, pleasure, and community, and even more specifically, the support of the queer community.

Through the exploration of her own fluidity in relationships, sexuality, gender and creativity,

Mou was able to find her own voice.

Finding communities that support fluidity, creativity, resistance and uprising is the key to healing.  It has been Mou's journey to provide inspiration and support to others for this discovery, understanding, and exploration as well.
